3 of the 5 largest countries cited are not African countries, so that kind of puts the thread to bed.

Unfortunately, the study is actually about condom size, not penis size, and there doesn't seem to be a link to the actual study with statistical information or methodology, just a chart of results that aren't very details.

You would think that condoms in a certain area would be produced to be as close to one size fits all for the population that they serve, but it doesn't really work that way. It especially doesn't work that way in places where condoms are either not used as much as they should be, are produced in a place other than where they are being used and no consideration of size is being made, or where culturally there is such an importance on size that condoms are produced to stroke the ego rather than server their purpose.

I have a hard time finding shoes that are the right size and are comfortable. I imagine that same kind of problem is significantly worse regarding condoms in developing countries that don't have the ability to produce condoms themselves.

The problem here for me is not the lack of basic understanding of statistics, but the fact that those doctors have been measuring the erect penises of their patients. You see, when we go to a urologist, I hardly believe that the doctor would ask us to have an erection so he can measure our penises. And I doubt most men would do it even if he asked.

A study that I believe in is those made by companies that make personalized condoms. They have a huge data basis and one of those companies already said (in their website and the New York times) that the highest demand is for smaller condoms.

People haven't even came to a agreement on the standard way to measure a penis, but they have a detailed map with the erect penis size by country! For fuck's sake...

No correct measurement expressed on average will be informative about big calibers

In a usual distribution of 100 men with an average length of 12.48, you can find 10 men with penis less than 9 cm, 10 between 10 and 11 cm, 60 between 12 and 14, 10 of 14, 8 of 15, one of 18 and only one of 20.
But in another group of 100 men with the same average, you can also find 10 men with penis less than 9 cm, 10 between 10 and 11 cm, 60 between 12 and 14, 10 of 14, BUT four of 15, three of 18 and three of 20

In the first group, the possibility of finding a dick of more than 7 inches is 2%, in the second, 6%, a less sad horizon.
So, what's the use of measuring under control a representative sample of any human group?
A good estimate seems enough

I've been to a lot of mixed gender Spas and Saunas here in my country and have seen a lot of black guys there. From experience they were never bigger than me but were more on the average or above average length while with white men I've seen a lot of men also below average... so facts: no they were not bigger and yes more white men were smaller...
